Dedicated on Sept. 17, 1951, our Michigan State University (MSU) location was the first of 13 Kellogg Center facilities in the U.S. The W.K. Kellogg Foundation donated a generous $1.4 million grant to support the project, with additional contributions made by MSU and the Michigan Hotel Association.
The Kellogg Center was originally developed to house and feed guests while conducting educational conferences and meetings. It continues to deliver on the original mission and has expanded to provide a distinctive range of amenities. Serving as a “front door to the university,” the hotel and conference center has a profound impact on the greater MSU community, offering unrivaled service, an award-winning restaurant, experiential training for hospitality students, and flexible space to host an array of functions.
