State Room Restaurant Options

The State Room Restaurant is located inside Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center. We provide 2 hours of validated parking in the hotel's parking ramp when you dine in the restaurant. Please note that parking is not validated during MSU special events, as determined by the Department of Police and Public Safety. Curbside Orders

Curbside pick-up orders can also be placed online, Tuesday through Saturday, 4-9:30 p.m. Pick-up for curbside orders is at the front entrance of Kellogg Center. Our team will place your order safely in your trunk or back seat.

If you're staying at the hotel, you can place a pick-up order online at the link provided or dial 5200 from your guest room. Then, pick up your order at the State Room Restaurant near the lobby. Direct room delivery is also available for an additional $3.

Private Dining Rooms (PDR)

We have multiple private dining options available to our guests – the Olympus Room, PDR A, PDR B, and PDR AB. The maximum capacity varies per room, with the largest holding 20 persons. Discounts typically offered for restaurant service are not valid for private party bookings. See more information here.

Gift Cards

The gift of a memorable dining experience in the State Room is perfect for your family and friends! Allow them to experience one of the best casual restaurants in the greater Lansing area. Gift cards can be purchased in person at the restaurant or scheduled for pickup by clicking here. To have a gift card mailed out, please call the office at 517-884-8101. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Payment: All major credit cards and cash are accepted for dinner — please note that due to the nature of campus meal plan procedures, cash is not accepted for the breakfast & lunch buffets. University departmental accounts may also be used as payment.

Parking: The State Room Restaurant will assist you with parking validation at the host stand. *You will need your license plate number to validate your parking.* Your parking will be validated for 2 hours. After the 2-hour timeframe, guests will be responsible for renewing their parking. Please note that State Room guests will be subject to any MSU Parking special event rates: parking.msu.edu/visitors/special-event-parking

Party Size: We can seat no more than 12 guests per table in our dining room. Please include all children in your guest count and let us know if we need to reserve a high chair or booster. Tables may not be combined.

Dining Time Limit: Reservations are given a two-hour time limit so that we can accommodate all guests and celebrations.

Athletic Events: Hours and menus may change due to large athletic events on campus. Please note that patrons with reservations will still need to pay any special event rates as stated by the MSU Parking Office https://parking.msu.edu/visitors/special-event-parking
