An automatic 20% service charge will be applied to parties of eight or more. Ask your server about items cooked to order or served raw. Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of food-borne illness. We cannot guarantee that allergens have not been introduced during a stage of the food chain process or, even inadvertently, during preparation.


RESERVATION POLICIES

The State Room looks forward to welcoming you back for dine-in service. We are operating at a reduced capacity, and reservations will have a two-hour time limit with no more than six guests per table. We may not combine tables. Masks are required when not eating or drinking. Please see our safety requirements.

Reservations Only: Seating in our dining room is by reservation only. Sitting or standing is not available at the bar rail. Guests may make reservations by calling 517-432-5049 or reserve online at go.msu.edu/stateroom. Guests may wait outside and we will send a text when their reserved table is ready. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate walk-in diners.

Payment: All major credit cards are accepted, however, we are not accepting cash until further notice. Overnight guests may have the bill charged to their hotel room. University departmental accounts may also be used as payment.

Party Size: Masks are required when not seated, eating, or drinking. We can seat no more than six guests per table. All guests must remain seated at their tables unless using the restroom and exiting the restaurant. Mingling between tables is prohibited to ensure the comfort and safety of all guests. Please include all children in your guest count and if we need to reserve a highchair or booster. 

Cancellation: Please provide a courtesy call in advance if you need to cancel your reservation.

Dining Time Limit: Due to social distancing and limited seating capacities, our flexibility to accommodate guests is significantly reduced. We are limiting dining to two hours.

Private Dining Rooms (PDR): Three private tables are available in PDR A, PDR B, and Olympus Room. We will collect a deposit during booking for each private table reserved. This deposit will be applied to your final bill and is refundable if canceled 48 hours before your reservation. The maximum capacity is six persons per room.
